幾十與十幾
"幾十”英文可以寫"tens of"來形容人，"十幾"可以寫"from ten to twenty"來表達。

"News" is an uncountable noun. It doesn't have a plural form.
You can't say any word ending in -s is a plural noun.
Uncountable noun usually takes a singular verb.
