Did God exist forever before making the universe?

Or was it a finite amount of time?

ps: If you think God is somehow 'outside of time', then don't claim he has always (or forever) been around. Saying 'always' or 'forever' implies time is involved.

God created existance. He created creation. So He is above what our brains can comprehend

The question is tricky because it sneaks in the false assumption that GOD came from somewhere and then asks where that might be. The answer is that the question does not even make sense. It is like asking, “What does blue smell like?” Blue is not in the category of things that have a smell, so the question itself is flawed. In the same way, GOD is not in the category of things that are created or caused. GOD is uncaused and uncreated—He simply exists.
We know that from nothing, nothing comes. So, if there were ever a time when there was absolutely nothing in existence, then nothing would have ever come into existence. But things do exist. Therefore, since there could never have been absolutely nothing, something had to have always been in existence. That ever-existing being is what we call GOD ,GOD is the un-caused Being that caused everything else to come into existence. God is the uncreated Creator who created the universe and everything in it.

The universe requires a cause because it had a beginning, GOD unlike the universe, had no beginning, so he doesn’t need a cause. Einstein’s theory of general relativity, which has much experimental support, shows that time is linked to matter and space. So time itself would have begun along with matter and space. Since GOD is the creator of the whole universe, he is the creator of time. Therefore He is not limited by the time dimension He created..@

Life without GOD is like an un- sharpened pencil it has no point..
You can't see the wind, but you know it is there because you can see what the wind is doing. You can know that the wind is there because you can feel it.GOD is like the wind, you can't see him

We don't know how long God has been around aside from the knowledge that he is everlasting, eternal. He could be eternal and still be applied to the limits of the English language as outside the parameters of time we understand. We certainly do not understand eternal. Saying always and forever indicates that the period is unafected by time, not that time is involved.

Yes and your premise is flawed. Forever is ongoing - and the absence of time

The Infinite Source of All is that Light spark of energy in all of darkness and chaos, that caused everything to attain fulfilment - Truth. :D

The Bible states Good is Eternal. Without beginning nor end. It does not matter when or if time began or not. (Psalms 90:2)

Humans have had no experience with such an Eternal. So we cannot understand it as we are. Perhaps after God's Kingdom is ruling planet Earth and we have lived for a thousand years or more, we may have a clue by then.

No. He came into existence when primitive men decided to come up with a universal answer to all the things they did not know. At the same time they found it to be a way of controlling the behaviour of the people around them.

Those who invented god claim that he always existed to avoid any debate about his beginning.
