I have a ghost in my house?

Okay this is serious.
Last night I was alone in my house, my parents were out and my sister's not home until tomorrow afternoon.
I cooked dinner for myself and after having dinner I was too tired to wash up the dishes, so I just left it in my kitchen and waited for today to wash them.
But today when I woke up, I headed to the kitchen to make breakfast and turns out the dishes were being washed. Completely cleaned and put back into the cabinets.
No one at all came home throughout the entire night as my bed is pretty near to the door, and I have a emergency heat-sensing alarm/ring bell for whoever comes in that says "Welcome."
I'm really scared right now, seriously. I mean it is good that my dishes are being washed but no one's home there's only the possibility of a ghost..
Please help me.

I was COMPLETELY alone when I woke up this morning, my pets were all asleep and none of my family members are back. I went to a psychiatrist today and checked if I have sleepwalking and turns out that I don't - Well perhaps this ghost is so called friendly but what comes next really..

Consider yourself lucky. This poltergeist seems to like you.

check your wallet you left on the table. The guy probably broke in to steal money, but he washed dishes in return.

Sleepwalking is actually a more likely explanation than a ghost doing dishes. Ghosts are generally not very good at doing dishes and tend to break them too often.

Another possibility is that you did them but remembered wrong. You might have been thinking of a different day, when you went to bed without doing the dishes. And you might have forgot that it was a different day.

Or the soap from doing the dishes might have got in your nose, and went straight to your brain, and caused fungus to grow there, which interfered with your thinking and made you think the dishes were done. But if you look more carefully in your kitchen, you might find they weren't done after all. Maybe you broke them all and threw them in the trash. Fungus in your brain can do that.

But it was almost sure not a ghost. Ghosts just don't have what it takes to do a good job washing dishes. They can't do it quietly, and they don't get the dishes very clean. And they break too many, from being clumsy. You wouldn't believe how clumsy the average ghost is.

Most ghosts hate being ghosts. Some people are envious of the seeming magical powers of ghosts. But those powers aren't all that great, and a ghost can't do a lot of things a live person can do. That's why they haunt us. Because they're envious of us and constantly wishing they were alive.

Probably you did the dishes yourself and forgot about it. Ghosts generally do not exist and even if they do, they have better things to do rather then washing the dishes. Cheers! Merry Christmas!

If you're being serious, maybe your sister came home and left again. I believe in ghosts and other beings myself. I've had many experiences with things being knocked, being touched and having my name shouted in my ear.

Ask parents and sister if they came home ever. If not, maybe consider the fact that you simply forgot that you did them yourself. Even being a sleep walker is a better explanation than an entity summoning ridiculous amounts of energy to try such maneuvers.

You've just moved, and you have always been feeling bad about this house. If there are ghosts in the house, this article will (hopefully) help you get it out and to get it to move on. By the way, the list of common signs your house may be haunted are in the Tips section

Get rid of negative energy using sage. One way the Native Americans used is a Sage ceremony. To do this, get two packs of sage, burn it, and spread the smoke throughout the house. Say something along the lines of "We mean you no harm, please leave this place in peace." You do not necessarily have to say that, but it has been known to work. However, this method has a few unfortunate downs. See Warnings.

This is a messy way, but spread salt on the windowsills (as salt represents a sort of positive energy).

Cleanse your home. This way is helpful, as you will "kill two birds with one stone". However, this method requires much preparation. To do this, wash everything in your house. All sheets, curtains, everything. Vacuum/hoover the floors and give the house a really thorough cleaning.

Contact your local priest/exorcist. The priest will bless the house, hopefully at the least, making things better. If they don't, turn to the exorcist, who will be able to remove the ghosts

Go through all the rooms in the house, with a small bell, ringing it quietly in each corner.

Another way is to get a buddy, go through the house holding hands and saying in a firm voice "This is the house for the living, not the dead. You are dead, so we wish you well to seek the light and move on where you ought to be." Be aware that things could get kind of freaky in a matter of seconds, as ghosts often don't realize that they are dead, so reminding it that fact will cause some surprise (wouldn't you be surprised if someone told you that you were dead?)

One other way is to ask the ghost questions, such as "Are you happy that we have moved into this home" and have some kind of code, like one knock on a door is Yes and two is No. This is meant to be handled by experts, though. Ghosts can sense when one is scared, or nervous easily, and can often take advantage of this fact as soon as they realize it. If the answers to your questions are negative, it may be time to look for a new house.
