new 1080p tv and xbox 360 (slim) graphics is bad?

i just bought a brand new 1080p 120hz 39" tv and i have been playjng xbox on 1080p but i hav noticed lines when playing games ac iv. its not just lines they kinda flicker. what do i do to fix this would 720p look better? what do i do

yeah, even xbox one is still on 720p, so it's not gonna be that good
