Prove that e^x is not a rational function.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

If f(x) is a rational function, then there exists n in N, s.t. lim(x→∞) f(x)/x^n = 0.
But lim(x→∞) e^x/x^n = ∞ ≠ 0, for any positive integer n,
so that e^x is not a rational function.
