Does the fact that Ted Cruze was born in Canada prevent him from becoming President?

He has to be a natural born citizen according to the constitution, and he is not. He is a legal citizen but not a natural born one. Therefore he simply can't run unfortunately.

A "natural born" citizen is one who is born inside of the USA, regardless of parents being citizens or not. Natural born in this case negates naturalization or the process of becoming a citizen. Unfortunately Mr. Cruz was born in Canada and, as stated elsewhere on here, he is a legal citizen, but not a "natural born" in the legal sense. To his credit Mr. Cruz did reveal his birth certificate, unlike a certain Kenyan that still hasn't (a certificate of live birth is completely different). Thus, the ORIGINAL birther, Hillary "Fugtard" Clinton still does not have her question answered (2008 Democrat Presidential Primary, its even on YouTube, Libiots!).

Not unless he tries to hide it by having his birth records sealed. That is the ONLY reason people suspected Barack Obama was lying.

If ONE of your parents is a citizen or if you are born on American soil, you are a natural born citizen. You do NOT have to be born on US soil to be a natural born citizen. In other words, anyone who is a citizen at birth and does not have to go through the process of naturalization.

I heard that Arnold Schwarzenegger is actually going to lead a charge to get that part of the constitution amended/refined so that he can run in 2016.
