Suppose α and β are the roots of the equation x2 + 6x - 2= 0.
Form a quadratic equation with roots 2α – 3 and 2β - 3.

由原方程 x² + 6x - 2= 0 ; 得 α + β = -6 ; αβ = -2

設所要求的方程為 X² + hX + k = 0

sum of roots ==> 2α – 3 + 2β - 3 = 2(α+β) - 6 = -h

product of root = (2α – 3)(2β - 3) = k
