*Just a few weeks ago i received a ticket for holding a cell phone while driving. I tried to explain to the officer that i was not texting, i was using the GPS Maps app on the phone because i had missed my exit. I even offered to let him see when my last text was sent which was hours prior to driving. Apparently even holding the cell phone will get me a ticket which i had no idea. I honestly never text and drive.
Anyway my question is simply whether or not this will make my car insurance go higher? I'll pay the ticket, it's not a problem, i just don't want my insurance to skyrocket.
I tried looking online but different places say different things.
Help, anyone?
