Why won't my truck start. new alternator, new start, and battery fully charged?
77 Chevy c20 350 3/4 ton pickup I'm stuck on what to do. first it broke down on the side of the highway and wouldn't turn over turn the key nothing would happen. The lights, radio, and everything else work.
Put in a new alternator and fully charged battery turned the key and there was a grinding sound but still wouldn't turn over checked the starter and had it tested found it had loose internal parts. Replaced the starter now we're back to it not doing anything when we turn the key.
HELP PLEASE!!!

"jimanddottaylor's" advice is your best bet. They got it spot on.
Need to figure out why its not turning over first.
Probably need to see if the motor will even turn over by hand, IF you hear the starter at least click when you turn the key to start.
Nave your battery load tested to see what the reserve amperage capacity is. Amperage spins starter motors not volts.
If everything else worked, you may be should not have replaced the alternator and battery. Now we have to worry if that componded any problem.
IF the battery is good and IF the starter is good. then the problem has to be in the wiring between them or the engine is seized up and nothing will turn it over.
Try grabbing the fan belt and turning the engine over by hand. (easier if you remove the spark plugs.) If it does not turn , then your engine has an internal problem . If it will turn over by hand, then the problem has to be in the wires. Clean and tighten the battery cables. If that does not work, then make sure that electricity is getting to the solinoid.. If it has electricity to the solinoid when you turn the key, and still not a thing happens, then the solinoid must be bad.
according to my experience I will fully charged when I use new battery
