Toshiba Satelite P100 Laptop No LCD working?

It is working well sometimes, But After power off and keep 1 -3 hours ,It is not working with LCD .I can getting Display with External Monitor. boot up and working well but First time with LCD it has colour problem. working only 16 colour After chainge resolution and Restart the o/s it is working well .

I pressed Fn+F5 to chainge the display to LCD and remove external monitor , And restart It is working with LCD. After shutdown and power on. same the problem. Have to use external monitor to working and chainging the resolution and colours and restart ,

I updated BIOS.
Installed Windows 98/xp/200 pro/ 2003 server /7/8/Ubuntu/ live xp /live cent os. and dos.

I can instsll VGA drives but sevaral times blank the LCD when logging in to deskktop in windows xp and 7. With win 8 no lcd worked,

But I installed win2000 with pressing F7 to Dissable ACPI Bios .Because When I tried to installed win2000 ,Displayed the msg as This system is not fully compatible to ACPI Bios. Therefore Press F7 to dissable ACPI .

I want to know Where is the problem. and which item has problem.
BIOS or VGA board.?
I thought this occure by conflict Resources. but I dissable LAN (First I couldn't install O/S before Dissable the lan)

Pls have you experiance ,pls explain me the problem

The 2 most common problems are bad wiring and overheated graphics chip when it comes to laptop LCD's. To me it sounds like the "wire solder" inside the mobo has broken because you said after you power it off for 1-3 hours it will not work. Heat causes metal to expand, so every time you turn off and on your computer you are expanding and deflating the metal causing it to bend over and over eventually the metal "wire solder" inside the mobo will brake. If its introduced to heat, or is bent back together from temperature change it can work again. If you think this is your problem then you should rap a towel around your computer and turn it on. Let it sit for several hours so that it gets nice and hot so the solder melts back together. ^last resort. Google baking laptop


Its called baking because originally you would just put the piece of hard ware in the oven, but you cant put a whole laptop in the oven because of melting parts. If your up for you can take the motherboard out and put it in the oven. Put it can be difficult to take apart.

the bloody thing is SEVEN YEARS OLD

old technology

time to just use it as a backup

and get a newer one
