業主和租客誰負責賠償?

租業主檔口做生意,業主負責水電表保養、維修。位于檔口外的來水管爆裂,致其他檔口的貨物受淋,遭受財物損失,追究責任,要求賠償,因此,請問誰應負責賠償?是業主定是租客?
更新1:

水電表的登記人是業主,租客只是頂業主的鋪來做生意的,以前裝修都是業主的。 如受損失的貨主向租客追究賠償責任,租客需責任嗎?

1. Not enough information to determine.

The deed of the building will mention the responsibility. In most of the cases, even the owner/landlord is responsible for the water metre installed outside, it does not necessary mean that the owner/landlord has the responsibility to maintain the pipes.

So it is possible that the management company or the owners' corporation is responsible.
