Conflict is usually about change. Without it we are just sitting ducks who only follow only one opinion rather than other ones that we can agree on or maybe even better ones.

It isn't. If you are a single being in a niche of endless resources, there is no conflict with other beings.
If there are other beings who want the same resources, conflict may occur, or cooperation may occur.
Humans developed a higher level of cooperation, and managed to create niches of peace, and comfort.
Since evolution toward full humanity has a long way to go, most humans only use cooperation in limited ways. That's why conflict arises.
There are people who actually excuse conflict because animals have it. They forget that we are animals that are trying to live in ways that are freer,and more value-filled than those of animals.
Whenever we're in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.
