我現在就想學多點英文的詞語

1/最好每週買一份英文的日報.每日選讀一頁或一篇.要打開生字薄,要認真查生字及留意此字的例句.
2/要專心,用心讀出所選文稿.要大聲讀.要讀到通順流利.大聲清楚讀出好重要.事關以後你的口語英文亦會因此清淅流利.
3/一旦開始.切勿中断以免前功盡廢.
4/除非你有意專攻英語中的一些專門課程,例如發音,修辞.文字學.文法.等等.否則不必搞詳細分類.
5/我估你是有意學好英語作為工具.應用或研究.所以你的基本要求是纯熟.及可以用口語應用及書寫以表達自己的意見.大聲讀,係要學好英語的基本.祝你成功!

為什麼英文欄停擺了？

每日至少選讀南華早報/英文虎報社論. Jot down new vocabulary 和 phrase.
要兩本好字典, 例如 Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, Oxford A.L.D.
一個字除了解釋, 知道怎麼使用, 什麼情形下用, 詞的搭配 (Collocations),自己作句
noun 分(count/uncountable), verb 分 (tran./intran./link/aux.)
要堅持不懈的努力看報, 查字典. 好英語是長期的積聚, 不是應付考試

A book is highly recommended for you to build up your vocabulary power. I used it before, and I had learnt most of the English words that I need in daily life.

For Grammar improvement, I do not recommend those books which talk about grammar. I recommend you to read a book of interest - focus on the story when you read the first time, focus on the sentence structure for the 2nd time you read it.
If you like mystery, I would recommend "The Da Vinci Code."

If you like love stories, read Nicholas Sparks.
If you like mysteries, read Greg Iles' "Mortal Fear."
If you like literature, read Thomas Hardy's "Far from the Madding Crowd."
"The Oxford book of Essays" edited by John Gross is very good too, but it's a bit challenging than the above.

In sum, read a vocabulary builder book to emulate your vocabulary power.
Read a book of your interest and focus on its grammar and sentence structure.

vocabulary:- Your vocab is the total no. of words you know in Eng.eg:-Her speech is immature; her vocab limited.
A phrase ,phrases, phrasing, phrased:- is a short group of words that people often use as a way of referring to saying something.Not obvious from meaning of individual words in it.but in the grammar notes beside the entries PHRASE:-eg:- He used a phrase I hate:-"You have to be cruel to be kind. "eg:-A writer spends many hours going over and over a scene:---changing a phrase here, a word there.
sentence, sentences, sentencing, sentenced:- is a group of words which, when they are written down, begin with a capital letter and end with a full stop, question mark, or exclamation mark. Most sentences contain a subject and a verb.eg:- They are already serving prison sentences for their part in the news assassination (S+V.)
Keep 3 pads handy to jot down etc..

Learn Proverb:-A proverb is a short well-known statement that contains advice about life in general.....the old proverb about a stitch in time saving nine. Hope that will help.

可以用字典查一查vocab 和 sentences +phrase的意思,(注意5係電子字典!)
