Should I be concerned about RBS and Scottish Devolution? Where have my RBS branches gone?

I was born and raised in Yorkshire, England, and switched bank accounts to RBS a few months before the 2008 financial crisis (good move, I know).

Anyway, after they've sold off their English branded branches to Santander (I think?), I sort of have just been using digital banking, never really needing to go to a branch. My own local branch just seems to have become a cake shop. Do I just go to Santander branches now, or what, considering I still bank digitally with RBS?

Furthermore, I go to university in Leicester in a month- should I be concerned about Scottish devolution, which could potentially take place whilst I'm away?

Regards, Jake.

Nat West is part of RBS. Nothing to do with Santander. There are Nat West banks all over England. They are called RBS in Scotland.
I bank with them. I can withdraw money at RBS in Scotland ( which I did last week) or Nat West in England.
You are confused.

Jake,

When banks change ownership, merge or are liquidated, the customers receive letters in the mail stating what is happening to the bank and where their new account branch is located. if and when scottish devolution occurrs I would think that there would be little change to banking operations between international banks based both in England and Scotland, so do not worry and wait for the news, it will be business as usual.
