Is this okay for school?

Okay, I am starting freshman year tomorrow, and want to wear shorts. My school says in the handbook that they must be fingertip length. my shorts are like a half in above that. Will I get into trouble? And how to get out of it if I do.

They might not notice, unless you have little t-Rex arms.

If they ask you to put your hands at your sides to check, pull your shoulders up half an inch.

since its the first day, I don't think they will send you home or get you into real trouble or anything, but I would still advise you not to wear the shorts. since its the first day, its also your chance to make a first impression. make it a good one and follow your school's handbook.

They won't do anything, my school has a rule like that but I see girls with shorts way shorter than finger tip length.
