I found it dead after my cat was batting it around, it looks a little exoitc for a UK spider, never seen one before. Anyone have an idea what kind it is? It was about the size of a 50 pence coin, slightly bigger with a full leg-span.

Poor thing is not in good shape, but looks to be a common house spider.From the looks, I would say this is likely a female, and gravid.(ready to lay eggs)
