About taking GCE AS in F.5

1) Do you think it is possible to get well prepared (4 straight As) with maybe 40% of the syllabus self-study within around 8 months?Do you recommend me to have a try?

>>如果你話係40% 既話, 應該係ok 既, 但都要睇番你而家學校既work load 多唔多, 因為你仲要準備dse 既野, 唔係真係100% 投入哂去gce 既preparation 度既, 而同時, 要睇下你而家係hk 係讀咩, 如果你係hk 係冇讀過bio/econ 的話, 要準備亦會難. 而f. maths 的話, 如果你本身係hk 既maths 底唔係太好的話 (i.e 你唔係讀m1/m2), 要讀f. maths 會難. 所以一個比較fair 既說法係, 如果你每日抽1~2個限時係每一科上面, 40% 應該係ok 既, 因為唔只係要睇完明, 你仲要做同埋識.

>> as 每科要考3份paper, 你有4科即係要考12份, 而你一月先考完個igcse, 我怕你5個月時間唔可以handle 到12份paper, 因為igcse 同gce 係有一個好大個gap 位的.

2) In addition,my combination for AS F.math is FP1,FP2 and M1 but FP2 is an A2 paper,do you prefer S1 instead of FP1? (D1 has been selected as one of the core math applied modules) cuz i want to have a recognised AS F.math qualification.

>> 其實冇所謂, 因為at the end of the day, 只要你考夠12份maths paper (入面一定要有c1 - c4) 既話, 已經count 做一個f. maths 既qualification, 你考既先後次序係冇關係的.
