What is "Strip-mined land"and "surface mined land"?
These mined land are to do with extraction of minerals(開採礦物) and not to do with land mines.(地雷)

"surface-mined land"(露天開採礦山土地)is the land that has been mined with the soil and rock overlying the minersl deposit removed.

"Strip-mined land"(剝離開採礦山土地) is a kind of surface mined land in which a seam of mineral has been mined by first removing a long strip of overlying soil and rock . It is most common with the mining of coal.
