None of them is a good choice.

1. Both Asia Miles and PhoenixMiles will expire 3 years after they are earned. Also, you will have to pay fuel surcharges for the award tickets from these 2 programs.

2. Delta SkyMiles is basically worthless as it costs a lot to redeem a ticket (You will never find the rate you list for award).

3. Only Asia Miles has partnered credit card in Hong Kong.

My suggestion - United MileagePlus. Basically, not the best program in Hong Kong. However, it balances all the disadvantages and advantages of the programs you mention.

Also - if possible, never upgrade. You will cost more in upgrade (as only certain fares are eligible for upgrade).
