Just finished Scandal. WHAT DO I WATCH NOW?

Ok, so I've spent the past two weeks pretty addicted to and binge-watching Scandal. It's now 1.20am GMT (yawn) and I just watched the last episode. I really want another tv series to get hooked on, not least because A level results come out on Thursday and I need something to distract me tomorrow!

My tastes are pretty varied: I liked Scandal because it was (quite) clever but also each episode made me NEED to see the next one. I liked Homeland for the same reasons but there was a little too much violence for me. I also loved Sherlock, again addictive, fast-paced and clever, and am eagerly awaiting the third season.

On the flip-side, I was rather addicted to the niceties of Glee and Modern Family for a while too.. Hmm.

People have suggested Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Dexter. Will they get me as hooked as I was on Scandal? If so, which should I start with? If not, what else can I try?
