1.
The price for 3 packs of potato chips = $3y
The price for a bar of chocolates = $17

The amount to pay (in $):
3y + 17 = 44

=====
2.
Let $y be the selling price of a pack of biscuits.

The amount to pay (in $) :
4y = 100 - 16
4y = 84
y = 21

The selling price of a pack of biscuits = $21

=====
3.
Let w cm be the width of the rectangle.

The perimeter (in cm) :
2 x (6 + w) = 28
6 + w = 14
w = 8

The width of the rectangle = 8 cm
