「謂語」即是動詞，即 looked。

這句並沒有「間接賓語」（indirect object），只有「直接賓語」 （direct object），即 out of the window。


籠統地用最基本的 SVO 句法看：
Subject: The boy
Verb: looked
Object: out of the window

而這裡，object 其實可再細分成：（不過知道這些實際作用不大，我也是查了一查才知道）
Preposition：out of
Object of the preposition：the window

並不是所有句子都是 SVO 句，還有很多其他的句型，不過這些真的很複雜，個人不太建議背這些那麼 technical 的東西。

其實你只要搞得掂（識分辨） SVO，其他句型就輕易上手了。

Although "the window" can be taken to be the object of the preposition "out of", it is wrong to say that "out of the window" is the object of the verb "looked".
Remember! Only a noun or pronoun can be the subject or object in a sentence.
