Finding a place in Boston?

Besides craigslist, what sites do people use to search for an apt, studio, etc.? I'm having some troubles - help. I'm from NYC, and I need to move to Boston for work. I just started doing research about boston and I don't know much about it.

September 1 is the biggest moving day in the city and is when most of the apartments switch over, which can be good/bad. Craigslist and working with a realtor are two popular options. Also, check out padmapper.com as you may find it helpful. Good luck!

Craigslist is probably the most popular, but I think your best bet other than that would be to go through a private realty company. They know places you can't find on the internet. If not, there are other realty tools you can find. Just type it into a search engine. Good luck! :)

You need to check the Boston Sunday Globe. You also need to call a real estate agent.

I live in Somerville and we actually own a two family house in front of our house. It is right on the cambridge Somerville boarder and is within walking distance of about 10 bus stops and close to the T as well. The first floor is rented out already but the second floor is about to be up for rent soon as the people are moving back to where they live in the south. It is a second Floor apartment with 2 floors. It has a big bedroom, kitchen, and living room with bathroom, and the second floor has 2 small rooms that could be used for whatever and we normally charge between $1200-$1300.
