Can Solar Batteries be shipped to US from Hong Kong?

I am doing a business and I have a lot of products include Solar Power Products. They have Solar Panel/ Batteries, but from what I knew, Batteries cannot be transport through air to the US. I am not sure if Solar Batteries is allowed? If not I will have to ship them through a Ship, not airplane. Is it fine to ship them through Ship to our warehouse in US? I am also concern about this because it takes VERY LONG time to get to the US by a ship. Thanks
