How to quit a new job?

I started a new Job in June as a nursery assistant apprenticeship.
I'm not really enjoying it because the hours are way to long and i feel stressed and do not have time for myself anymore. I want to go into the catering environment. I'm not liking the atmosphere and I feel like no one makes the effort to talk to me or interact which makes me feel lonely and upset.

Next week they will be signing me up for the actual course/job which is 1 year from when I started. If I quit then I won't have any money but I'm sure my happiness is more important then me feeling down all the time, while working here I am applying for other jobs but it will take awhile until i get another one.

Should I stay in the job and sign up for the course and once I get another job quit
OR
Quit before signing up for anything and be left with no money or job

I was thinking of writing a leaving letter it the manager but what is the best way to leave a job

Please leave me some advice on what to do because i'm so confused on what to do,
Thanks

If you think you are stressed now and the hours are too long, wait until you get into Catering. Split shifts, 10 hour days, hot kitchens, Chefs shouting, no weekends off, no bank holidays off, poor pay.You sound too imature to cope with a busy catering environment. Stay where you are.

Stay with the job until you get another one. The basic neccessities; food, shelter, security, etc; are more importaint than wants like happiness. A new better job will come eventually, but not if you're homeless. And who's really happy being broke or mooching anyways.

Although you may feel starting this job is stressful, think of your co-workers who started off the same way and managed to make it through.

My suggestion is that you stay with the job and sign up for the courses, but do not quit or resign until you have proven your value, skills and character. That is what employers look for in their next applicant. To say to a future employer, "I quit the job because it was stressful or boring." is not going to cut it.

Now as for your co-workers, show enthusiasm as well as effort in your duties. Reach out to them as far as assignments and when you have free time, ask them to help out if needed. You want to be seen as well as being heard. In a nutshell, make yourself look dependable as well as dedicated and that will show with supervisors as well.

Quitting now will make it more harder for you to find another job.

Always be professional when leaving job, give notice
Most employers check with past employers,
Nowadays
It is short sighted to leave employment without another lines up
You get out of something, depending what you put in to it
You're new, make the effort to get to know coworkers, reach out to them, don't wait for them
Are the long hours seasonal? Can you expect changes?
Above all Stop the pity party
參考: BTW: catering takes your evenings and weekends, goodbye personal time
