how can I prove I did follow the chain of command when the companies owner says I didn't?

My boss terminated my employment stating I didn't follow the chain of command when I filed a complaint with the corporate office that he was contracted with; the complaint were the trailers used were having safety issues such as lights not operable, brakes out of adjustment or malfunctioning and very overweight. I did report these issues first to my supervisor then to the owner( these are the only 2 in the chain) then I reported to corporate office. Let me explain that trailers in question belonged to the company contracted to and my boss was in no way responsible for ANY repairs. So why would I even have to report trailer or weight issues with him although I did several times.

Your "chain of command" makes no sense.
The owner is the OWNER - he is the HIGHEST person their is.
There is no corporate that is higher than him.

Let me explain that trailers in question belonged to the company contracted to and my boss was in no way responsible for ANY repairs. So why would I even have to report trailer or weight issues with him although I did several times.
- WHY should you do this? So that your boss can determine how he wants to handle it. He is the one with the relationship with the other company. Not you.

You can't prove that you followed the chain of command = because there is nothing in your story that indicants you did.
