鼻毛的英文有爭議~就是我的問題

Nasal hair or Nose hair consists of small hairs that are in the nose. Biologically, the hairs act as a filter and keep dust and dirt out of the nasal passages, and strongly stimulate pain nerves if pulled out. They also help to maintain humidity in the air passages by trapping humidity as one exhales, while evaporation of trapped moisture on the hairs humidifies inhaled air.
就是說兩種都對

不過有人提說 vibrissa 是指動物的毛

Hair 這個 noun 名詞，通常是不可數 uncountable 的 (全頭頭髮/全身毛髮)，但有些時有時可加 s成 hairs變成可數 countable : （1）Uncountable 不可數：Hair (無 S)是指在整個頭的頭髮，或動物的整個毛髮。例：你的頭髮很長。 Your hair is very long. (not hairs) （2）Countable 可數：a hair 一根毛髮或 hairs (加 S), 是指一根二根地可數出的毛髮。例：There is a hair in my soup. 我的湯裡有1根頭髮。例：There are two hairs in my soup. 我的湯裡有2根頭髮。 ______________________________________________ Nasal hair 和 nose hair 日常二字都可交換使用。至於 nose hairs 和上述 (2)相同一根一根的含義，e.g. There are 2 nasal hairs sticking out your nose. 不過，你可想像一下，在日常和西人的談話中，一根二根的數這個那個，有多麼的噁心。
