You can get both types in one location but it's rare to have both types of herpes on the mouth. You're very unlikely to get genital herpes from having oral sex. Since you all ready have oral herpes you wouldn't be likely to get genital herpes on your mouth too. It's not common to contract genital herpes on the mouth. It's possible if your partner had a break out in progress or had a recent break out.
Genital herpes isn't likely to be passed by just kissing. If he had a cold sore and gave you oral sex then you could get genital herpes.
Get tested in about 6-8 weeks then have another test for herpes done in 3-6 months to be sure. Don't get tested too early, that can lead to false results.
