I had unprotected oral sex with someone with herpes?

I'm pretty sure I gave oral sex to someone with genital herpes. He was very secretive about me looking at his penis and I swear I could see what looked like an outbreak that was going away on the shaft of his penis. I already do get cold sores on my mouth once or twice a year, but since I performed oral on someone who I think has genital herpes, would I get genital herpes (type 2) on my mouth and in my throat, or since I already have the type 1, am I "safe" from getting the type 2 in my mouth? Also, if I gave him oral sex and we kissed and he gave me oral sex, is there a chance to transmit his genital herpes to mine through kissing? I plan to visit a clinic to get tested to alleviate my anxiety, thanks!
