Title: Watership Down
Author: Richard Adams
Setting:
The story is set in the Sandleford Warren, Fiver, a young rabbit, received a frightening vision of his warren's imminent destruction. When he and his brother Hazel failed to convince their chief rabbit of the need to leave, they setted out on their own with a small band of rabbits to search for a new home. The travelling group of rabbits found themselves following the leadership of Hazel, previously an unimportant member of the warren. They travelled through dangerous lands, with Bigwig and Silver, both earlier Owsla, as the strongest rabbits among them. Fiver's visions promised a safe place in which to settle, and the group eventually finds Watership Down, a perfect location to set up their new warren. They were soon reunited with Holly and Bluebell, also from the Sandleford Warren, who revealed that Fiver's vision has been true and the entire warren has been destroyed by humans. Although Watership Down was a peaceful habitat, Hazel realised there were no does, so making the future of their new home uncertain.
Character:
My favorite character is Fiver. I think he’s very cute and he had visions. He could often tell when there’s anything bad about. He sometimes could tell where a wire had been set. I would like to have a little brother like Fiver, so I can be very safe.
Reflection:
This book is astonishing! I don’t really understood what it said at first, since there aren’t any pictures in this book. But slowly, I began to understand every part of the book.
