Your accent may change quite a bit. The older you are, the less likely it will completely change. I know Canadians who have lived here for 60 years and still sound Canadian.

People in your home country may think you have an English accent. However, it won't sound fully English to us.

Children pick up accents quite quickly. I went from New Zealand and lived in England for 12 years. many people picked my Nz accent over the years but when I left and went back to NZ people asked if I was English so my accent did change over those 12 years but not that I noticed

Depends on your age, if you're a teenager it's likely to be never. Have a friend who moved over here when he was 14 (15 years ago) and his accent has never changed.

If you were under 10 years old then maybe after a few years........... I know an American who has lived here 30 years, she thinks she speaks with a local accent, but she doesn't, but she chooses to believe her family back in the USA who tell her she does, but even her own kids who were born here tell her she sounds nothing like locals...................
