有關 tense的問題

2013-07-07 11:29 pm
I visited New Government Headquarters in Admiralty yesterday. I arrived at the headquarters at 9:00am. It composed of two main buildings. There were many offices in the headquarters. I visited a meeting room on first floor. There were a round table and blackboard.

Are the tenses of the sentences correct?

✔ 最佳答案
Tenses 都正確,因為都是描述「昨天的事情」,但有些地方要注意:

1. 漏了 articles,在 New Government Headquarters 和 first floor 前面要有 the;blackboard 前最好清楚一些,加一個 a,因為 a round table and blackboard 好像給人 「round table 和 blackboard 是同一樣東西」的感覺。

2. New 應是細楷吧?它不是一個專有名詞的一部分,只是一個 general 的 adjective。

3. 是 was composed of 而非 composed of,應用 passive voice。

4. headquarters 出現得太多次了,試試用 there 來代替 headquarters。

希望幫到你。

現在式雖有「事實」的含意,但這不是首要的考慮,我們也應考慮「角度的時點」。在這裏,你是在描述昨天所見,並不是一般地說事實,故用過去式會較好。

All tenses are correct. But you used too much 'headquarters', you can use'there' instead.

望月一都,咁宜家新政府總部有許多offices,咁我係米應該用現在式呀。
Yes, you may use Present Tense.
