The statement is INCORRECT.

This is because sodium reacts vigorously with the water of the zinc chloridesolution instead of undergoing displacement reaction.

我有個不同的答案。Because sodium is very reactive, and it reacts with water, therefore it will form sodium hydroxide + hydrogen before the displacement reaction starts.

Na+ZnCl--->NaCl+Zn
Sodium+Zinc chloride---->Sodium chloride+zinc
In the reaction, the sodium becomes the sodium chloride, which is SOLUBLE IN WATER. As a result, we cannot see the zinc metal depositing on the sodium because the sodium has already dissolved in water in the form of sodium ions during the displacement reaction.
The only thing that we can observe is the zinc metal exist in water without depositing on the metal.
