Ohk so I have herpes type 1 both oral and genital ... I have no outbreaks or signs of outbreaks right now?

I had a cup with a straw that I had took a sip out of and sat it down and about 6 min later my nephew had his mouth on it is it possible that I transmitted it to him

NO. You would have to have a break out in order to have more chance of passing it. Even then here is very little chance of passing oral herpes through sharing drinks. The virus dies very quickly in fluids and in open air. It's moe likely to be passed if you kiss some one while you have a break out.

no. The virus would be dead and not transmitted that way esp. 6min later. He is safe. Let him drink out of his own straw or seperate cup next time.
