Given functions f(x)=1/root x and h(x)=x^2-4 , state the domains of the following functions using interval notation.

✔ 最佳答案
f(x)/h(x) = 1/[√x * (x - 2)(x + 2)]
the domain:
x must be greater than 0 , can not be -2 , can not be 2:
now let's put it all together:
0 < x < 2 or x > 2
(0 , 2) U (2 , ∞)

I hope this helps.

f(x)/h(x) = (1/√x)/(x^2 - 4) = 1/(√x(x^2 - 4))
The domain is (0, 2) U (2, ∞).

f(h(x)) = 1/√(x^2 - 4)
The domain is (-∞, 2) U (2, ∞).

h(f(x)) = (1/√x)^2 - 4 = 1/x - 4
The domain is (-∞, 0) U (0, ∞).
