Feeling depressed without friends?

I've finished middle school, and moving on to high school. I was depressed in middle school for many reasons. But I managed to make a few good friends who stuck by me, and helped me out. But now most of my friends are going to a high school I'm not going to. I know I should have asked for their personal contact information, but I was just too embarassed to ask. I deeply regret that decision. Now that I know I'm not seeing them again, its the same as though they died. They helped me out of the hole known as depression, but now that they're gone, I feel like I've fell in again. I feel sick. Somebody please help? Thanks for your time.

Well I would ask around. There is no shame in asking a mutual friend for contact info or maybe a past teacher could help you out. And I know it sounds ancient but you can try the phone book. And why not Facebook? Try searching for them. Chances are they are also regretting not getting contact info. And take it from me, you can always make new friends, they might not replace the ones you had/have now but it's not the end of friendships all together. You will make friends. And talking to adults will always help. Don't give up. Be proud of yourself for making it to high school and look forward to all the potential adventures you can have!

you could try to make some new friends if you like.
Try different activities like swimming and jogging, this might help.
Eat what you like, choose what you like to do, say watching a film, go to your favourite restaurant, etc, etc.
can you try to search your friends on facebook? maybe you can find them there
try joining in activities that you like. you may then find some new friends then
take care
