So my family is quite poor and me and my mom just got in a fight because i asked her for money to buy a 15$ USB cord... she started screaming she has alot of stuff to pay ect. I get it. She doesn't earn alot.
But then this person I know comes and tells me he's going on a cruise with his family of 5 next week. And that's when the jealousy attack kicked in. I almost went off on him, so I put my phone away. But first he started saying him and his wife have been saving up since last year and sacrifised going on vacation last year to be able to go this year. But they saved up in a year for a family of FIVE. My mom can't even save up for herself in a year. And cruise ships are expensive, they're like $3000 per person here, but anyways, the point is that im fkn jealous and bitter, and this feeling is horrible and wanna get rid of it.
HELP.
Btw, I'm 18, still in highschool and I WILL be going to University when I'm done so I can get a high paying job and do these stuff too when I grow up. (I know I can, my grades are very good)
But until then, I need to deal with the feeling.
How do I stop being so bitter and jealous of rich people?

Kudos on realizing you can change this. You can be on a cruise too if you put your mind to it. I get the same feelings, though and I understand. Know that when you obtain these things, you will find an enjoyment in them that people who did not earn them or do not appreciate them will never get to feel. You will be appreciative, self made, aware of the real world and down to earth. You will know to really enjoy that moment of having what you worked hard for and knowing what it means to have it.

Everyone is responsible for their own financial situation including you, your Mom, and all of the people you are jealous of ---there are a couple of laws of the Universe that says ----Be thankful for what you have and more will be given --be jealous of others and you will never attract the same thing to you.

the way you end being jealous of a wealthy human beings is to end hauging round them and get a job to provide for your self that you may have as a lot as they have in basic terms haven't any little ones ok because in case you do this in basic terms recommend that you'll might want to look after he or she and choose be able to in truth get what you opt for or accomplish yet to me i do not comprehend why someone might want to be jealous of yet another human bean.

This problem is not only with you ,almost everyone is facing this but the answer is you can get ride of jealousy through positive thinking . your deprivation will finish one day . you should think about those people who are dying with hunger , they have no medican or not available any doctor who treat them . you should think about those people who are dying in terrorism suicidal blast and they are also dying in drone attacks (unman combat airial vehicals ) you also think all of them who are being killed burma , kashmir ,afghanistan, syria and somalia with terrorism . billions of the people are no access basic necessities of life . my brother ! think all above and compare your life with them then you thank god . so don,t compare your life with others who are higher you but compare your life with the people who are lower class than you . thank god for his blessings and don,t be disappoint . Rather than being jealous of the things your peers have and do, try to look at the things you have and do that others might not. Keep in mind that on a given night in America, 700,000 to 2,000,000 people are homeless. That's a lot! That's a whole lot! And they're not worried about petty things like a USB chord or a cruise, they're worried about where they're going to sleep. Below is a link to some statistics you should check out. Oh I am sure you will become richer someday, no need to be jealous of other people.
Everyone is the same; we go to college, then we go to work at a later stage to earn money.
Just work hard at your studies and participate in some extra-curricular activities for now to widen your horizons, then you will get more experience to work in the future ;)
And no need to feel jealous, as everything comes at a cost/price. They worked hard for the money to pay off the cruise, so they receive the service/cruise vacation. Ah no need to feel jealous, I am sure when you have earned enough money, you can go on a vacation similar to that one, just don't give up hope. There's always hope san, remember that.

Find people you can relate to. Trust me there are more people like you and I who can't afford Disney world let alone a cruise ;)

Ignore them or don't hang out with those type of people. Just worry about yourself. Their not worth anybody's time.
