Is the opera song in 5th Element a real opera and can anyone tell me which one?

Its a very well known aria from the opera Lucia di Lammermoor. The opera was written by Gaetano Donizetti. Commonly referred to as "The Mad Scene", the aria is known as "Il dolce suono...Ardon gli incensi".
