Take the coefficient of linear expansion of copper = 17 x 10^-6 K^-1
Hence, coefficient of volume expansion = 3 x 17 x10^-6 K^-1 = 51 x10^-6 K^-1

Fractional increase in volume of copper cylinder = 0.15/100 = 0.0015
Hence, 0.0015 = (51x10^-6).T
where T is the rise in temperature
i.e. T = 29.4 'C

The final temperature of the cylinder = (20 + 29.4)'C = 49.4'C
