I would just like to know what is the movie Equilibrium by Kirt Wimmer about? Like what is the main idea and how did he use dystopia to get his point across?

feelings and art shouldn't be suppressed. its pretty much the same message as 1984 and Fahrenheit 451. good movie and worth watching, but I thought the gun martial arts stuff was just stupid.

it says that any form of art generates emotion and emotion generates actions of emotion (f.e. murder)
but in the end he understands that emotion is a good thing
