瑪利曼 mss f1 轉校 插班

先同你講我當年既情況同你差唔多(約6年前), 我都係讀名校小學(邊間唔方便講), 派位升唔番原校所以讀左間band2既中學, f2轉左去間band1英中(地區名校)
我小學成績中下, 唔算最差果批但都唔係好啦總之
但我去到果間band2既中學全級第4 (英文第1,中文第2,數第4)
你想入mss? 我當年都in過, 不過中英數都唔pass
如果你話你中文同數學都唔合格既話我可以100% sure同你講係冇可能
你有冇考慮過唔好讀d咁top既學校呢?或者有冇諗過係自己唔夠勤力/根本冇能力?
唔係想hurt你但係我想你知道英文好而其他科唔得係冇用,
我認為你除左要令自己進步(起碼係你讀緊既學校入面科科都極度高分)之外, 都要諗下自己既價值觀係咪有咩問題
至於你話咩grade4 piano呀空手道8級果d其實好多人都有
我當年都有所以學校唔會點睇
難道名校會因為你有grade4 piano而收你咩?
考左演奏級既都大把啦
仲有仲有, 唔明點解你話入英華一定適應到, 就係因為你認為自己有錢?
係, 有d學校會睇埋家底, 但係你有錢而成績唔好/冇技能佢地一樣唔會收你

至於你問點報讀果d野呢, 我覺得你6月先黎問實在太遲
因為我當年其實準備左成年, 下學期開始就寄左信比around 6-7間學校
3,4月果陣interview左, 學校亦有比conditional offer我, 7月去左register
所以其實你而家先黎問係有d遲

入讀瑪利曼既機會等於0,中中英文考第一去考普通英中都未必得.
禮賢會彭學高=Band 3,你overall results 好一般,70幾名仲有兩科主科fail,MSS肯定連筆試都唔俾你考.

Your question is very interesting and I guess I have thought pretty thoroughly as regards your situation. First of all, please do not mind me communicating with you in English for the sole reason that I'm too lazy to type Chinese; but if your English is that good as you sound I guess you won't meet any problem reading them. Please be assured I am not wasting your time; I graduated from one of the top local secondary schools and I happened to make friends with MSS students at University. That said, I guess my opinion would be valuable to you.

I am not going to lie to you although my answer may be difficult for you to hear. Frankly speaking, I agree with all comments above that your chance of getting into MSS is slim. They say, you might have a 20-30% of getting into MSS; that's too generous. I'd say your chance of getting into MSS is less than 5%. Here's my analysis:

First thing, you need to learn the rules of the game. MSS might not be the best of the best, but it's definitely one of the top local secondary schools, at least in terms of academics. Your academic results would therefore carry a very heavy weight. The rule is as such: overall performance first, individual subject second. Bear in mind, 7X/135 and 5X/135 are only average rankings in an average band-1 school. Even you're good at English, history and GE, I won't say that'd help a lot, unless you're really smart and can show it in any possible interviews.

You mentioned that you are a grade 4 pianist and a grade 8 karateka. As it's only grade 8, not 8 'dan', I must assume you're wearing a yellow belt. There are 2 things I'd like to remark: (1) some schools (e.g., DBS) might give a more serious consideration if you could demonstrate prodigious talents in arts or sports, but MSS doesn't seem to be one of the type; (2) a piano grade 4 and karate grade 8 are not really impressive. A lot of my friends at your age were already grade 7~8pianists.

Nonetheless, please do not be discouraged by my words

講真，其實你入到MSS嘅機會都幾低，大概20-30%%。因為MSS嘅數都幾勁。MSS系出名數同英文勁。所以你數fail嘅話，你已經減晒分。你仲要主科中文都fail埋，我諗MSS收你嘅機會好細。
同埋你通識好冇乜用。因為MSS S1-S3係無通識架，得EPA架咋。歷史同英文勁可能幫到你少少，但係MSS d英文唔易架，要有心理準備。
雖然MSS好多有錢人，但係我唔覺得佢會因為呢樣嘢收你。
你空手道8級可能幫到你拉高d分啦，但係鋼琴得4級就mun水d啦。MSS d人一係唔學，一學就7，8級。仲有一個溫馨提示，MSS S1 同S2 係一定要學一樣樂器（除咗鋼琴）架，你要有心理準備，佢仲會係學期尾考架，要係全班面前考。
仲有，我諗MSS唔會睇你小學邊間，主要係睇你中學個分。你想入MSS就依家考試加油啦，考好個中文同數佢，咁如果佢見到你進步得多應該會加好多分，你嘅入到嘅機會應該會加到50－70%

Hello, i'm a f2 student from a top school in HK:)
I dont mean to hurt you. But to be honest, your percentage of going to Marymount is a little range of percent.
Although your English, History, EPA/ LS is good, your level may not reach to a Band1A school. And also, your Chinese and Maths is inadequate good enough, so you need to improve it.
If your Chinese and Maths in Band3A school aren't good, you just get a lot of troubles and problems in a Band1A school if you are studying in there. Because , there have a lot of clever people.
You're rich, but it doesnt mean anything.
Your acedemic results must be above 10 or comes number 1, so other Band1 schools may decide whether you will become one of their students. They dont only look at your Primary school's name, but your results instead.
therefore, you cant apply any schools of Band1. So you should find some Band2 schools.

To be honest, 你入讀瑪利曼既機會唔係好大，大約只有20-30%，因為Marymount既人好多都係由小學升上去，位唔多，所以收插班生會收最top既。同埋Marymount 既人好all round。無論係英華又好，瑪利曼又好，都係打電話問有冇位。比個溫馨提示你，讀好D中文同Maths 啦
