I dropped my iPod and I broke the screen it's still useable but not willing to cut my figures up I was wondering how much it would cost to fix it myself or how much it would be to take it some where to fix it
And if I take it somewhere where would I take it ?

If you repair it yourself it's really hard getting the screen off without breaking the frame, but if you buy the kit it can cost anywhere from 10-30 $ you can call the apple store and see how much they fix it for but it's pretty expensive. Also some malls like Mayfair mall have apple store in them and they can fix it or trade etc hope I helped

Do it yourself, youtube.com has a lot of videos that show you how to do it and the screen you can get the kit on ebay.com for around 15 dls.
