(1)Given that f(x)=x^2 + ax + b,if f(0) = -3 and f(2) = 5
find the values of a and b
(2) Given that f(x) = 2x + 1 and g(x)= 5-3x, find g(f(-1)).

(1)f(x) = x² + ax + b
f(0) = -3
(0)² + a(0) + b = -3
b = -3
f(2) = 5
(2)² + a(2) + (-3) = 5
2a + 1 = 5
a = 2
Hence, a = 2 and b = -3

f(x) = 2x + 1
f(-1) = 2(-1) + 1
f(-1) = -1
g(x) = 5 - 3x
g(f(-1)) = g(-1)
g(f(-1)) = 5 - 3(-1)
g(f(-1)) = 8
