2xy+x-5=0---(1)5x-2y-1=0----(2)
(2):
5x=2y+1
x=(2y+1)/5---(3)
Substitute (3) to (1):
2y(2y+1)/5+(2y+1)/5-5=0
0.8y^2+0.4y+0.4y+0.2-5=0
0.8y^2+0.8y-4.8=0
y=2 or y=-3
y=2:
5x-2(2)-1=0
5x-5=0
x=1
y=-3:
5x-2(-3)-1=0
5x+5=0
x=-1
The solutions are {x=1,y=2} or {x=-1,y=-3}
