Present Perfect tense 是一些在過往發生的事情但和現在連上關系。
如果在句子中有指明的過去時間，便要使用 past tense.

一些常見的用法：
1. 講述經驗。例：I have been to Canada before.
2. 講述從過往到現在的一些變化。例：You have grown up.
3. 講述成就。例：Scientists have split the atom.
4. 預計發生的事情沒有出現或沒有完成。例：May has not fed the cat.
5. 過往多次發生的事。例：You have been to Ocean Park six times.

Present Perfect Continuous
Present Perfect和 Present Perfect Continuous分別在於講者是否會在未來繼續所述的動作。
例：She has worked with ABC Company since 2010. She changed her job last week.
She has been working with ABC Company since 2010. (她仍繼續在那公司工作)

Past Perfect Tense
1. 用來突顯一件事在過往的另一件事情以前完成。（兩件過往發生的事，分出先後次序，先完成的用 Past Perfect Tense, 後發生的用 past tense）例：I had finished my homework before I went out to play.

2. 用於 reported speech 例：
Direct: She said, 'I have been to Ocean Park twice.'
Reported: She said that she had been to Ocean Park twice.

3. Third conditional sentences 例：
If he had studied harder, he would have passed the exam.

4. 對過往不滿 例：
I wish I had studied harder. I failed in my exam.

Past Perfect continuous
1. 回望事件的進程 例：
We had been thinking about buying a new house but now the houses are far too expensive.

2. 在過去某事發生前正在發生 例：
We had been playing football when it started raining.

3. Reported Speech 例：
Active: She said, 'I have been shopping.'
Reported: She said that she had been shopping.

-----The present perfect tense denotes present results of past actions.We use for referring to a period of time and since referring to a point of time in the past:-
-----eg:-I have just kissed 1 sec.my girl-friend.
-----eg:-She has already closed within 24 hrs. the door.
When two actions happened in the past one after another,we use the past perfect tense for the first action ie:-A completed action before a stated time in the past:-eg:-After she had taken a bath, she went to the telephone.

-----The present perfect continuous tense shows the action began in the past,has extended up to the present and may continue in the future, eg:-I have been studying English for six years through Lawer-mail !
-----The past perfect continuous is used together with adverbials beginning with "for" or "since" for unfinished, lasting actions.Incompleted time are involved.eg:-Filipino had been living in HK for seven years since 2005 !
