Music video from early 2000's?

So this is probably a bad description but I remember seeing this music video a long time ago and it was like an animated video, and it was a brunette kid singing about liking this girl but she doesn't have feelings for him back and there's like a blonde attractive guy who features in the song playing guitar and is a cartoon in it as well. It's a pop/rockish song and the band name is like a guys name and the something's I'm having a hard time remembering it.
