probability that the staff holds a master degree is 0.75 given that he/she is
promoted. A staff is randomly selected from the company.
(i) Find the probability that he/she either is promoted or holds a master degree,
but NOT both.
(ii) Find the probability that he/she neither is promoted nor holds a master
degree.
(iii) Let E be the event that the staff of the company is promoted and F be the
event that the staff of the company holds a master degree. Are the two
events E and F independent? Justify your answer.
