(The Year of the Yao) is a movie clip which talks about Yao Ming’s road towards his success in NBA.
To succeed, he needs to overcome the language barrier and get the recognition from his new teammates. The documentary is full of dramatic and humane elements. It is interesting too.
It is not just a documentary , it also talks about a young man who pursues his dream.
In his first year going to the USA, he found an American translator called Paine. Paine supported him a lot and helped him get through the hard time.
In China and America in their nationalities and cultures, they still because good friends. Therefore, I think he can become a bridge between the two countries and foster the cultural exchange between China and the USA.

Yao Ming has an unbelievable height of 7ft 6inch, which overpowered most basketball players. With his tall, slim built, he can easily reach the basket. Therefore, he was a valuable and remarkable basketball player in the history of NBA.

His success in the basketball industry depends a lot on his family's support. What would you feel if your son always travel to attend basketball competitions? Despite feeling proud and glad, you should feel worried. But through Yao Ming's career, his family had done nothing but to provide love, care. With physical and mental support of his family, I am sure that Yao Ming will have a bright future.
