So im making a red velvet cake with whipped cream cheese frosintg (basically cream cheese frosting with whipped cream) and im gonna ice it on the cake about 7:00 am and bring it to school, is it ok for the frosting to stay out for 4 hours, since me and my friends have to wait till lunch time to eat it. im scared the whipped cream will go bad or melt since its warm here.

It will be fine.I would suggest you whip it for a little longer so it is nice and thick

No! In middle school I brought cake to school at least three times a year for my friends birthdays, and they where always fine... My school was indoors though, if yours is outside it might not be very fresh.

Real whipped cream will melt. Foods that are left out in room temperature for more than an hour can begin bacteria growth. Our stomach acids can kill some of these bacterias but not all and some can make you very sick. Keep foods OUT of the danger zone- Above 40 degrees and Below 140 degrees. Between these temperatures bacteria lives and breeds on our foods.
