A cultural question, plz help?
Just wondering, in English culture (Australia, USA, England etc.), when children meet an adult stranger or relatives, how do they address them? Do children simply address them by their first name, or Mr/Mrs something, or...? (What do most children do when addressing adults?)
Thanks.

In Australia, children call them by their first name and you would never hear a child say something like "Hello Mr. Smith"

Well, here in America, it's considered rude or bratty for a child to call an adult stranger by their first name. Even last names- without Mr./Ms.
(but bad parenting here would make you think otherwise...older people will get annoyed.)
(though, of course, you have some strangers who'll say, "ah, please, just call me ____" then it's alright.)
參考: I live here in the states.
