3. No - still HKID. Also, a foreign passport with a Certificate of Entitlement will work as well.

4. Yes - which makes them entitled for consular protection.

5. Yes and no. The Consulate will be notified, but not deported.

Consular protection is not getting you out of jail. A person is still responsible for the crime he or she has committed and its punishment.

7. Yes.
